This list should give you an idea of what to dropship. These are items that people look for, but the niches are not that saturated.

Online competition is tough. There are thousands of people selling the same stuff. If anything, I am convinced that the people who succeed in dropshipping are either the first or the ones who offer the best.

Now, how will you know if this product is in high demand? The first method is to use Google Trends. The second one is to use our product database. 

To the left, click on Product Database, and you will see this: 

Click on Advanced Filters, type the keyword, and click on the SEARCH button. You will see this:

Use the arrows to sort the sales or revenue from highest to lowest. I did that, and this product has no sales. As such, we can say that there is little demand. 

This does not mean that this is a losing product. It can be a winner, provided that you market it to the right people. 

Overall, you have to repeat this process if you want to find a high-demand, low-competition product. For this example, it may not be high demand, but I can say that since the competition is low, there is a possibility to turn this into a profitable product.

Who would have thought that these pads could make you money? Many people who have furniture need these pads to protect their floors. At best, you must market these to people who have wooden floors.

Characteristics of a High-Demand Product

The only two measurements of demand are interest and sales. These are the only two things you must look for before deciding what high-demand products to sell. 

As far as interest goes, your best friend is Google Trends. It is an application that tells you the level of interest for a keyword. The level of interest is in the form of a score between 0 and 100. A higher score means higher interest (or searches) for a specific time. 

To use it, go to Google Trends. Then, do the following: 

  • Click on Explore
  • Type the keyword you want to use
  • Toggle the location to worldwide and the timeframe to 5 years
  • Hit ENTER on your keyboard

You will get this result: 

The line chart you see represents the interest level for the term “toy drone” over the past five years. You will see spikes here, often during December. 

According to Google, an interest level score of 50 is indicative of high interest. For our toy drone keyword, the interest score is usually at the 25-score level. Conclusion: the interest is low. 

This does not mean that nobody is interested in a toy drone. Perhaps people are just not using that term to search for drones. Let us try something else.

Now, I used the term “DJI drone,” and I got a better result. As it turns out, there is a high interest level for DJI drones. DJI is a brand name. 

You can do the same for other keywords. Once you find something that has a consistent score of 50 and above for a long period, you find a high-demand product.
