Best Supplement Dropshipping Suppliers

A reliable and efficient supplier is vital to successfully selling supplements.

The supplier must comply with all of the regulations and laws required to sell supplements.

This might include labeling, being safe for consumption, and manufacturing practices.

We’ve created a list of reputable suppliers. However, make sure to check that the supplier can comply with the laws and regulations for your location.

1. Nutribl - Best for UK Sellers

Nutribl is a private-label supplement company. It is a UK developer and producer of supplements.

They sell a range of supplements. Including the following:

Nutribl products are made to UK GMP standards and hold the certificates required to sell in the UK.

They export outside of the UK. However, they require the seller to handle the shipment, export, and import. As well as clear customs and provide other necessary documents.

For that reason, we would only recommend using Nutribl if you are a UK dropshipper.

What We Like About Nutribl:

  • Allows you to design custom labels. This can help increase your brand identity and help establish yourself in the supplement industry.
  • Quick processing and shipping time.
  • Nutribl facilitates dropshipping. So, you can sell one item at a time, and Nutribl will ship them directly to your customers.
  • Meets all UK supplement standards and has the necessary certificates required to sell.

  • Not the best option for sellers outside the UK. However, you can manage the export process and adhere to all the legal requirements yourself.
  • Must register for Nutribl to view the prices of the supplements.
  • Dropshipping orders need to be entered via a spreadsheet. There is no way to automate your dropshipping orders. This can be time-consuming to manage and has a risk of errors.

  • Slower order fulfillment. Some orders can take up to 5 days to be processed before shipping.

  • The more orders you process per month, the cheaper the products are.

5. OK Capsule - Best for Custom Formulas

OK Capsule is a private-label supplement company. It was founded by Dr. Andrew Brandeis. He has over 20 years of experience in primary medical practice, naturopathy, and business innovation.

The company has a cGMP-certified facility in Nevada. At the facility, they offer vitamin packs. These are instead of bottles.

The packs are designed to give customers exact doses of the daily supplements they need.

You can choose from over 50 supplements and combine the supplements to create supplement packages. These are called packs on demand.

For example, you could create a mixed vitamin pack to help reduce stress. In the pack, you could include a combination of 3 supplements that do this.

You can list and sell these packages on your site to multiple customers.

Alternatively, you can create a quiz and sell personalized packs.

These packs are designed specifically for an individual. They will include a combination of vitamins to help the individual achieve their goals.

OK Capsule has the following supplements in its catalog:

  • Adrenal Pro
  • Ashwagandha

What We Don’t Like About OK Capsule:

  • We can’t confirm the exact cost of using OK Capsule. The information isn’t readily available. You would need to contact the team directly.
  • Asking customers to create personalized vitamin packs can be confusing for them. Especially if they’re just looking to buy an individual supplement.

Can I Dropship Supplements?

Yes! It’s both possible and legal to dropship supplements.

With product research, a reliable supplier, and marketing, you can create a successful dropshipping store.

Is It Safe To Dropship Supplements?

It depends on the supplier.

Make sure that your supplier complies with all the necessary laws and regulations.

The products must be high quality and labeled correctly.

You should also ensure that you don’t make any false health claims or guarantees to customers.

Is It Profitable To Dropship Supplements?

Absolutely. Supplements are relatively cheap to source. And with the right branding and marketing, you can sell them for a high price. This will give you a considerable profit margin.

For example, we can look at On-Demand Fulfillment’s catalog. They sell 60 Anti-Anxiety Capsules for between $6.07 and $4.05, depending on the number of packs you sell per month.

We can then look at other sellers that sell anti-anxiety tablets. Innermost is a supplement store that sells a 60-pack of The Relax Capsules for $34.95.

If this seller sourced the product from On-Demand Fulfillment, they would have a profit of $25 per sale. We would need to deduct marketing, shipping, and cost. But there is still considerable profit.

Dropshipping also has low start-up costs. You don’t need to invest a lot of money to get started. There is also a low return and refund rate.

All of these factors can increase your profit margin.

If you need help checking that your products are profitable, Dropship has several free calculators. The calculators will work out your profit margin, cost per acquisition, return on ad spend, and break-even return on ad spend

Is It Legal To Dropship Supplements?

Yes, but there are a few things to consider.

Your supplier needs to adhere to strict guidelines, laws, and regulations. The country you’re selling to and sourcing from will determine the exact legal standards.

These might include the following:

  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and cGMP)
  • ISO 9001 Standards
  • FDA Registered Facility and FDA Compliance
  • Food Business Establishment Certification
  • Organic Certification

If you’re sourcing from a supplier outside of the location you’re selling, you also need to ensure that the product is able to pass customs when it is imported.

There are also strict advertising restrictions. Make sure to check with the advertising standard before you add any claims about the results and benefits to your listing, packaging, or marketing material.

  • You cannot make false claims or mislead customers.
  • You cannot claim or imply that a supplement prevents, treats, or cures any disease.
  • If you want to advertise using Meta Ads, there is a guideline that says you can’t imply that any body type or appearance is perfect.

Can I Sell Supplements On Shopify?

Yes, Shopify allows you to sell supplements. To sell supplements, you are required to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

There are some restrictions on Shopify Markets Pro. Shopify Markets Pro allows you to sell globally. And if your store only sells supplements, you might be ineligible for Markets Pro.

Should I Dropship Supplements?

It depends.

There are many benefits to selling supplements. They have huge demand and high repurchase rates, and there are specific suppliers and manufacturers for supplements. This makes it easy to source safe and legal supplements.

But there are risks. There are specific regulations you need to adhere to, and it's difficult to expand globally.

Pros of Dropshipping Supplements

  • Booming Market - The supplement market size is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.1% from 2024 to 2030 [1]. Experts suggest this is due to consumers becoming more aware of preventative healthcare. Including supplements, as they are associated with healthy living.
  • Large Audience - Supplements are taken by kids, adults, and seniors. You have a huge audience you can target with your products. You can choose a specific demographic to target your products at. Alternatively, you can create a general supplements site and sell supplements for specific health issues.
  • Vast Range of Products - There are tons of different supplements. And they come in different forms. These include powders, pills, gummies, drinks, and more. You could create a store that sells one supplement in powder form but in ten different flavors. Or you could sell a multivitamin gummy for kids. Research the supplements, benefits, and target market to find a winning combination. There are endless opportunities in the supplement market, which gives you a high chance of success.
  • Suppliers and Manufacturers for Dropshipping - There are specific supplement manufacturers and suppliers for dropshipping stores. These manufacturers and suppliers should comply with all the required regulations and laws. Many also integrate with e-commerce platforms and marketplaces. This makes it easy for you to run your dropshipping supplement business.
  • High Repurchase Rate - Supplements are consumables. Customers take them and then need more. If you provide a premium product and service, customers are likely to return to your store and buy again. This can drastically increase your sales. And it’s much cheaper to get customers to buy again than it is to find new customers. Which means more profit.
  • Low Return Rate - Supplements are usually non-refundable as they’re consumables. This is great for your overall profits. Customers might request a return if they have received the wrong item, if there is a shipping issue, or if the item arrived damaged. These are all avoidable with the right supplier. So, once a customer orders from you, you are unlikely to receive a return request. We can compare this to other products, like apparel, which has a very high return rate.

Cons of Dropshipping Supplements

  • Strict Regulations - There are strict laws on supplements. The exact laws and regulations you need to adhere to will depend on where you sell. They will likely include how the product is manufactured, the product quality, the label, the ingredients, and more.
  • Advertising Restrictions - Certain claims of treatments, results, cures, and prevention are banned by the advertising standards authority. And Facebook has policies and guidelines you need to adhere to. You can’t make unsubstantiated health claims or use misleading images or text. This can make it difficult to advertise your supplements. It can also make it hard to find customers.
  • High Competition - There are tons of supplement sellers. Such as big-box stores like Walmart, specialist e-commerce stores, and small holistic local stores. It can be hard to compete. How to Overcome High Competition: Do in-depth research to find a niche in the market. This could be a specific demographic, product combination, or form. Try to find a unique product with high demand. You will need strong branding, a marketing campaign, and a reliable supplier to help you stand out from your competition.
  • Difficult to Expand Internationally - Each country has its own laws and restrictions. One manufacturer might comply with US laws but not with UK laws. This makes it very difficult to expand worldwide using one supplier. This can reduce your sales as your market is limited.
  • Limited Suppliers - There are dropshipping supplement suppliers, as we saw in the first section. However, the options are limited compared to most other products. Many supplement manufacturers and suppliers don’t facilitate dropshipping. You would need to order your stock in bulk. This can make it difficult to find a reliable and safe dropshipping supplier in the country you want to sell. And it also means that a lot of dropshipping supplement stores use the same suppliers and sell the same products. This makes it hard to stand out and differentiate your brand from the competition.

Which Supplements Should I Dropship?

Check out these winning supplements to add to your store. They all have high or increasing demand. So you can make the most sales and profit.

1. Plant-Based Omega-3 - Ethical Nutrition

The cod liver oil market is expected to grow at a rate of 9.06% between 2022 and 2029. The pandemic boosted the demand for cod liver oil as it's a rich source of vitamins, protein, and minerals [2].

However, consumers are shifting towards plant-based formulas.

We can look at stores selling plant-based omega-3s to tell us if a product is a winner.

Dropship shows us the approximate sales of any product sold on a Shopify store.

We can see that Ethical Nutrition sold 2508 plant-based Omega-3s. They generated $77,335.72 in revenue in the last 12 months.

We can also see that the sales have increased over the last few months. This shows us that there is demand in the niche, and it's growing. Which suggests it could be a winning product for your dropshipping store.

2. Collagen - Absolute Collagen

The anti-aging market is growing worldwide and is expected to reach 93.1 billion by 2027 [3]. Many people feel the social pressure to appear youthful.

Collagen is a protein in the body that helps make tissues strong and resilient. Collagen naturally reduces as we age. This can increase wrinkles.

Many people take collagen to boost their collagen levels to help fight aging.

Absolute Collagen is a European collagen brand. The company has made approximately $6,593,043.80 in the last 12 months.

They sell marine liquid collagen supplements. They sell a box of supplements that includes 14 sachets. The company is maximizing its sales by offering different purchase options. Customers can purchase the products once or join a subscription.

Offering a subscription will improve a customer's experience with your store, as well as increase your sales.

3. Senior Multivitamin - Juvify

Statistics show that adults over 65 contributed to around 30% of dietary supplement sales worldwide. The population over 65 is growing rapidly. The percentage of the global population over 65 is expected to rise from 10% in 2022 to 16% in 2050 [4].

The increasing aging population and number of seniors buying supplements suggest it could be a good market. That’s why we think a supplement designed for seniors could be a winning product.

Juvify sells Glylo. Glylo is a healthy daily supplement for aging and weight management. In the last year, it has made 670 sales through its website. However, its main selling channel appears to be Amazon.

Adding your products to Amazon can help you reach more customers and increase your sales.

4. Pre-Workout - PEScience

Pre-workout is a supplement that enhances energy and performance. It is taken by athletes and has become popular with gym goers.

PEScience sells a pre-workout. Dropship shows us that in the last 12 months, the pre-workout has generated over $612,000 in sales. This shows the huge demand for pre-workout.

They also offer a sample of the pre-workout.

Allowing customers to sample your product can help build trust. This can increase the chances they’ll purchase the full-size product. It also reduces the return rate and prevents bad reviews. As they have already tried the product.

5. Protein Powder - Anthony’s Goods

Protein powder is a form of protein that is sold as a powder. The powder can be mixed into drinks or added to food to enhance the protein content.

Protein powder is usually made from whey. But there are other types of protein powders, such as beef, soy, peas, rice, and many more.

Many people take protein powder to increase their daily protein intake. Additional protein, along with a good diet and exercise, can help muscle growth and recovery.

Google Trends shows us that the search term has increased in popularity year-on-year.

Underneath the interest graph, Google Trends shows us the rising related topics and queries.

Four of the top 10 rising topics and queries are related to plant-based protein powders.

We can look at plant-based protein stores to see if the sales match the searches.

Anthony’s Goods sells a vegan pea protein powder.

We can use Dropship to see if the store is making sales. If the store is making sales, we can confirm that the product is in demand and could be a winner.

In the last 90 days, it has made over 69,000 sales. Generating $1,106,179.70 in revenue.

6. Mushroom Powder - Dirtea

Dehydrated mushrooms are ground into a fine powder to make mushroom powder. The powder is usually drunk in a hot drink. This might be a mushroom tea or coffee or added to a normal tea or coffee. It can also be added to juices, smoothies, or food.

Lots of different types of mushrooms can be used to create mushroom powder. Each mushroom has its own health benefits.

Some of the most popular mushroom powders are the following:

  • Lions Mane Mushrooms - Boosts brain power
  • Chaga Mushrooms - Source of energy
  • Reishi - Improve immunity
  • Cordyceps - Increases stamina and sex drive
  • Tremella - Strengthens nails, thickens hair, and helps with signs of aging

The mushrooms each have multiple benefits. But we’ve added the biggest benefit of each one next to it.

Lots of companies also sell mushroom blends and mixed mushroom powders.

Dirtea is a mushroom powder brand. They sell pure mushroom powders and super blends.

Dropship shows us that the company made over $3 million in sales in the last year. The most popular products are Lion’s Mane mushroom powder and coffee blend. The coffee blend contains coffee, three types of mushrooms, ashwagandha, and maca.

Looking at the blends other brands use can give us inspiration for our stores.

How to Start a Supplement Dropshipping Business

So, you’ve decided dropshipping supplements are right for you.

We’ll walk you through five actionable steps to help you build a successful supplement store.

If you haven’t got time to read each section in-depth, here is a quick overview.

1. Find a winning supplement to dropship.

2. Choose a supplement supplier to source your winning product.

3. Build a Shopify store and create supplement listings.

4. Market your supplements store to generate sales.

5. Analyze and optimize your business to increase sales and boost profit.

Find a Winning Supplement

You need to find the right supplement to add to your store.

Before you start searching, you need to know what you’re looking for.

When we’re doing product research, we always look for the following:

  • High Demand - This is how many people are interested in the product and will potentially buy it.
  • Low Competition - How many other stores are selling the same product? And if there is a lot of competition, can you compete?
  • Legalities - This is essential with supplements. Is the supplement legal where you want to sell? What regulations and laws do you need to comply with? How does the supplement need to be labeled?
  • Profit - Can you source and advertise the product for less than it sells for? Look at the supplement suppliers listed above and check out their prices. Then, subtract this from your competition’s average selling price.

You will also need to think about seasonality, availability, target market, and product lifespan. If you want more information on what to consider for product research, check out the article. It includes tons of product research methods and covers the considerations in depth.

Now we know what to look for. It’s time to find a winning supplement.

You can check out our list in the previous section for some instant product ideas. Or use these methods to find your own winning supplements.

Product Research Tool

A product research tool gives you data on other sellers. There are lots of tools available. The stores they can analyze, as well as the data provided, will vary from tool to tool.

Over 4 million e-commerce stores are built on Shopify. And it’s where we recommend you build your supplement store. So, it makes sense to spy on other Shopify supplement stores.

Dropship is a product research tool that gives you detailed data and insights into Shopify stores. We can use this data to identify winning products.

Dropship has several features to help you find a winning product. For finding supplements, we recommend you use the Product Database, Ad Spot, and Chrome Extension.

  • Product Database - The Product Database is a database of millions of products sold by real Shopify sellers. You can use the advanced filters to search for products that meet your winning criteria.

We use the following filters:

  • Product Price - Set the minimum price to $15. With supplements, anything less than this will usually be unprofitable. We leave the maximum price blank to start. But if the search results are too broad, we can use this to narrow them down.
  • Monthly Sales - We want to find products that sell at least 50 per day. Ideally, we’d want to make more sales than this. But 1500 is a good place to start.
  • Category - This is currently a beta filter. So, it might not be the most accurate yet. However, we’ll still choose Health and Household.
  • Include Title Keywords - If you don’t have an exact supplement in mind, start by entering the word Supplement. Then, if you decide you want to sell a supplement for a specific age or demographic, you can enter more keywords. For example, Supplements for Seniors or Anti-Aging Supplements.

Dropship will show products based on these filters. You can sort the results by Sales, Revenue, and several other categories.

Scroll through the results to find winning products. You can add products you think are winners to your Sales Tracker. The Sales Tracker allows you to monitor and analyze the products over time to confirm they are winners.

  • Ad Spot - Dropship’s Ad Spot allows you to search through a library of millions of Facebook ads.

We can look at other sellers’ ads to give us winning supplement ideas. We want to look for ads that are new and have high engagement. Ads that generate high engagement quickly know what they’re doing. And customers like it.

You can search the library by engagement, copy, and several other filters.

To find a winning supplement, enter Supplements into the Ad Copy filter.

Ad Spot will show you all of the relevant ads. You can sort the ads by the Most Recent, Reactions, Comments, and more.

Look through the ads and identify any trends, patterns, or supplements that appear frequently.

Dropship also has a Chrome extension. So you can find supplement stores by searching Google or social media. Then, spy on their sales, revenue, and much more when you visit their store.

If you want to check out Dropship, there is currently a 7-day free trial available

In our opinion, Dropship is the best product research tool. But we are pretty biased.

There are lots of other product research tools available. There are ones that spy on Amazon sellers, eBay sellers, Walmart sellers, and more. Check out our article on the 20 best product research tools for dropshipping

There are other methods you can use to find winning products. These include the following:

  • Social Media - Check out trending products, popular hashtags, Facebook groups, and influencers. These can all give you product inspiration.
  • Marketplaces - Look at sites like Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, and eBay. They will show us which products are selling well. This will show us in-demand products that could be winners.

We have an entire article on how to do product research. It goes into more depth on how to do product research on social media, marketplaces, and more.

Choose a Dropshipping Supplement Supplier

In the first section, we shared a list of our top 5 suppliers. These were:

  • Nutribl
  • Supliful
  • Specialist Supplements LTD
  • On-Demand Fulfillment
  • OK Capsule

We always recommend using a supplement-specific supplier. Supplements have strict compliance and laws you need to adhere to.

It’s your responsibility, as a seller, to ensure they are met. But a reliable supplement supplier should know all of these and adhere to them. This can make it easier for you to source your supplements.

We also recommend choosing a supplier that can integrate with your dropshipping store. Suppliers that integrate with your store mean you can automate your business. Automating your store makes it super easy to manage.

Create a Store and Build Your Listings

You’ve found a winning supplement and a supplier to source it from. It’s time to decide where you want to sell them.

We always recommend using Shopify. Shopify allows you to build your own store. It’s a simple platform to use, and it integrates with tons of dropshipping software.

We also have an exclusive 3-month for $3 offer. You can get started with Shopify and start making sales before joining a paid subscription.

There are alternative e-commerce platforms. Some of the most popular options include:

  • WooCommerce
  • Wix
  • BigCommerce
  • Squarespace

If you don’t want to build your own store, you can list your products on a marketplace like Amazon.

Amazon allows you to sell supplements. However, they are a gated category. This means you need approval before you can list them.

Once you’ve decided where to sell your supplements, you can create your listing.

Your listing will consist of the following:

  • Product images
  • Detailed description of the product and benefits
  • Nutritional information and ingredients
  • Number of capsules or servings
  • Recommended dosage
  • Any potential issues or cautionary advice

You’ll be able to get the majority of the listing information from your supplier. You can also do your own research on the supplements and benefits.

Market Your Dropshipping Supplements

You’re ready to make sales. But you need to help customers find your store.

It’s time to market your products.

These are the most popular ways to market your dropshipping products:

Meta Ads - Create Facebook and Instagram ads that appear on your target market’s social media. This is the most popular advertising option for dropshippers. Ads allow your target audience to discover your products when you don’t have an existing audience.

You can use images, videos, and copy to showcase your products and encourage purchases.

If you need inspiration for your ads, use Dropship’s Ad Spot tool. Search Ad Spot for your competition and see which ads have high engagement and positive reactions. Look at their call-to-action buttons, images, and copy.

We’ve got an article on How to Run Facebook Ads if you want more information.

In addition to Meta Ads, you can also create paid ads on Google, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.

Influencers - Find influencers whose audience matches your target customers. You can contact the influencers to see if they would be interested in working together.

We use two methods when working with influencers.

  • The first works for smaller influencers with less engagement. You can send them the supplements for free in exchange for a post.
  • The second is for influencers with a more engaged audience or larger following. For them to feature your product, you will likely need to pay for a post.

Email Marketing - If you have an email list, you can create a sequence of emails to funnel subscribers to visit your site and encourage them to buy from you. This might include offering a discount, promotion, or exclusive offer.

Build a Brand - Establish yourself as a brand, and customers will come to you. This can take longer to generate sales than the other methods. And usually, it works well when you use it alongside running ads or influencer marketing.

You can build a brand in many ways. Our go-to methods are the following:

  • Blog - Create a blog on your store and write valuable content about supplements. This can increase your website’s position on Google. A customer might search for information about supplements. If your website provides an answer to the question, it will appear high in the search results. This can help customers find you. They will then read your blog and hopefully purchase your product. This will help you become an authority and trustworthy source in your niche.
  • Social Media - Post helpful and relevant content on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This can increase your brand awareness. This helps new customers find and engage with your brand. You can speak to them on a personal level to build trust and boost sales.
  • Create a Brand identity - When you think of a swooping black tick, you think of Nike. When you think red and yellow, you think of McDonalds. You need to find your brand voice, purpose, story, brand colors, logo, and fonts. This will make it easier for customers to remember you and build trust with your audience.

Analyze and Optimize Your Dropshipping Business

You’ve started making sales. Now, you need to find a way to increase your sales and maximize your profit.

We recommend looking at each part of your supplement business. This includes the following:

  • Listing - Can you update your product description? Change your photos? Add more benefits? Your listing should sell your product and make customers want to buy. Make sure the information you add is detailed and accurate. This can encourage customers to buy and reduce your return rate.
  • Shipping Costs and Options - Can you offer multiple shipping options at different costs? Could you increase your product price to offset shipping and add a free shipping option? Offering customers multiple shipping options can increase your checkout rate.
  • Marketing - Can you adjust your ad budget or demographics to boost your profit? Could you change your ad copy or content? Can you post content on social media or create a blog to increase brand awareness?
  • Reviews and Customer Feedback - What are your customers saying about your products? There is tons of information you can get from your existing customers that can help you improve your products and listings. For example, let’s say a customer leaves a review that said your product also helped them sleep. You can add this information to your product listing to attract a wider range of customers. You can also see if there is any feedback about the product quantities, packaging, shipping, or anything else. Look at the feedback and make any changes.
  • Fulfillment Process - How are you fulfilling your dropshipping orders? Do you have to manually contact your supplier for each order? Could you save yourself time by using automation software? Suppliers like Supliful and OK Capsule both integrate with Shopify.
